Innsbruck - the sports city with Olympic history
Sport is a big topic in Innsbruck. We like to explore the mountains ourselves. But the world's top athletes also like to come to Innsbruck. The Olympic city plays all the pieces, as they say in good Austrian. It has hosted the Winter Olympics twice. And has also been tried and tested in other major events.
Such as the Youth and Winter Olympics, the World Road Cycling Championships, the World Climbing Championships and the famous Bergisel jump. A special highlight in summer is Crankworx. The Mountain Bike Festival brings the best cycling artists to the Innsbruck Bike Park on the Muttereralm. A sporting event in a fabulous setting.
Inzing is surrounded by the Tyrolean mountains, with the Rangger Köpfl rising to the south and the Zirler Berg to the north. Inzing has a good infrastructure with a drugstore, two doctors, pharmacy as well as a post office, bank and train station. In summer, the heated swimming pool is a popular meeting place for young and old, locals and guests.
Winter sports enthusiasts appreciate the proximity to the ski areas, and in summer there are many great motorcycle tours, for example over the Timmelsjoch, the Silvretta or the Hahntennjoch. The Inntal cycle path in the immediate vicinity of Gasthof Stollhofer is also ideal for cycling and biking.
